All students who have an electronic residence permit and/or an official registration number (rijksregisternummer) need to deregister (= all students with an electronic A or EU-card or students with a document ‘bijlage 15 or bijlage 19).
You can do your deregistration online: www.kortrijk.be/producten/verhuizen-naar-het-buitenland Students with a document ‘bijlage 3 septies’ or ‘bijlage 33’ do not need to deregister.
For every visit in the city hall you need to make an appointment with the team ‘Andere Nationaliteiten’. The registration at the city hall is a legal obligation for all students, no matter what nationality and no matter how long their stay. If you are not in order with the administration, you risk a fine of 200 euros.
