HOUSING

When you come and study at VIVES University of Applied Sciences, we can make sure your stay will be as comfortable as possible. Please ensure you know which campus you’ll be joining us on as we have multiple campuses. As for housing, there are several possibilities:

• VIVES University of Applied Sciences has a student residence (The Crown) on campus in Bruges.
• The rooms have been in use since September 2022. The Crown offers 138 student rooms to both Belgian and international students. Each room has its own bathroom with toilet, wash basin and shower. The room contains a bed with a mattress, a desk, a chair and a wardrobe and fridge. Students share one kitchen and living room per floor. There’s a laundry room available in the residence.
• Unfortunately, we don’t have any rooms in Ostend, but we offer housing to students in Bruges. The distance from the residence to the train station is 6 minutes by bike. By train it takes you 12 minutes from Bruges to Ostend or back. If all rooms at the Crown are fully booked, you will be added to a waiting list.
• Meanwhile, you are free to look for a room on the private market. However, be aware of internet fraud. To avoid internet fraud, stick to the official website www.kotwest.be. If you use other housing websites or social media, you are more likely to fall victim to internet fraud! If you have any doubts about a particular landlord, please contact STUVO VIVES before transferring money or signing a rental contract. If you are a victim of fraud, contact the police immediately (Bruges: +32 50448844) and file an online complaint at Meldpunt België.

Please don’t travel to Bruges without being sure of suitable accommodation, to avoid unnecessary stress and problems. Check the QR-code or click here for the housing possibilites.
